Unwinding an Introvert

I feel like I have to address this “issue” to many people because they have the tendency to misunderstand my quiet demeanor to insult. I think many of you are familiar with introversion and extroversion since you see it everywhere in popular sites like Buzzfeed. I think the terms are becoming well known in the pop culture specially with millennials. Seriously, it’s about time because I’m so tired of telling people that sometimes (actually A LOT of times), I’m okay being by myself. To many people solitude sounds like a nightmare, but to me– it’s paradise. Place me in a room where there is a good internet service, book, food, and a furry pet dog to cuddle with and I would cancel going out to a party! There’s just something about silence that speaks volumes to me. I may sound like I just came from a horrifying movie specially when humans tend to be very social species, but trust me on this. I’m quiet not because I’m judging you, I’m quiet because it’s in my nature.

That being said, introverts unwind in many things through creative outlets. Mine being photography, blogging, surfing the net for more inspirations and more. When we ask for space, it’s not because we’re tired of you. We need a lot of time to energize! Get it? Got it? Good!

Could I not love you anymore! Preach sister. It's amazing how much light is now being shed on introverts. And it's a damn shame this wasn't happening 20 years ago because my teen years would have made a lot of sense and I probably wouldn't have felt such a need to change myself to fit in with the extroverts.
