To whom it may concern,
My name is Abby, and I am the blogger behind House of Akih. I started a blog when I was in middle school and never outgrew the hobby. In fact, writing is my passion that I actually do it for a living. On a typical day, you’ll see me brainstorming about ideas to produce for a variety of clients like skin care or even real estate. My style is quite flexible, but it doesn’t mean I don’t find it challenging. Never in my life would I think that I would be writing about interesting topics like motorcycles, auto repair and even moving companies! Still, I power through challenges because I’m a big fan of what I do.
Besides writing, I’m a social media enthusiast. I love anything and everything that has to do with pushing content and seeing a traffic grow from zero to thousands! Whether it’s Facebook or Twitter, the obsession continues.
For years, it feels as though I’m having an identity crisis on House of Akih. The truth is, that may be the case. This blog started as The Frugal Blogger where I spoke about a thrifty lifestyle, and then I realized that this was not the topic my heart wanted to pursue. I continued to write blog entries thinking maybe I’ll find my calling. I went from food, DIY, lifestyle, fashion, travel, etc… You probably might see my mess here!
My boyfriend, let’s call him Mr. Incredible, actually helped me find the topics I was passionate about. There were days when I didn’t want to blog, and he would remind me of it. He mentioned that there was no point in giving up my hobby even if I think my blog is suffering from identity crisis. He wanted me to write from the heart, and everyone else will follow. So I wrote, To the Woman Who Can’t Let Go which was an entry that hit close to home. After that, the rest was history. I had the idea, and I needed to pursue it. So you’ll find me writing pieces that may make you laugh out loud or cry depending on the light of the post. Still, I hope you stick around because I want to be as relatable and as human as possible.
P.S. I think it’s important to note that me and Mr. Incredible are 100% introverts. This is probably why I’m a blogger night and day.
